The Manaslu region in west-central Nepal surrounds Manaslu (8,163m), the eighth highest mountain in the world. The circuit follows the Budhi Gandaki valley through Gurung and Tibetan-influenced villages and crosses the Larkya La. It is a restricted area that requires a special permit.
