Booking terms

How booking with Golden Nepal Trek & Expedition works, in plain language.

1. Booking requests

Sending a booking request on this website does not create a contract and does not cost anything. It tells our team which trip you are interested in, your preferred dates and how to reach you. A member of our team will contact you, usually within 24 hours, to talk through the itinerary, permits, group size and price.

2. Confirmation

Your trip is confirmed only when we send you a written confirmation by email that lists the itinerary, the services included, the total price and the payment and cancellation terms that apply to your trip. Please read it carefully and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

3. Payment

We never take payment on this website. Payment instructions are included in your written confirmation. Do not send money to anyone who contacts you claiming to be from Golden Nepal unless the details match the confirmation you received from info@goldennepaltrek.com.

4. Prices

Prices shown on this website are a guide per person in US dollars and may change with group size, season, flight costs and government fees. Trips marked "Price on request" are quoted individually. The price in your written confirmation is the one that applies.

5. Changes and cancellations

If you need to change or cancel, contact us in writing as early as possible. The cancellation terms for your trip are stated in your written confirmation. Mountain travel depends on weather and local conditions: flights to and from mountain airstrips such as Lukla are often delayed, and our guides may change the route or pace for your safety. We will always explain why and look for the best alternative.

6. Travel insurance and health

Travel insurance that covers trekking at the altitudes of your trip, emergency helicopter evacuation and medical treatment is required for all treks and expeditions. Please tell us about any medical condition that may affect you at altitude before you book.

7. Permits, passports and visas

We arrange the trekking permits listed as included in your trip. You are responsible for a valid passport and the visa for each country you visit. Tibet and Bhutan have their own entry rules, which we will explain when you book.
